Malak Brown
Malak has been in the field of Esthetics since 2008. She is one of the first estheticians to bring sugaring to the DFW area. Opening Down South Sugaring in May 2015. Since then, Malak has developed her own personal technique, specializing in natural, sugaring hair removal. Stemming from her Middle Eastern heritage, Malak has developed a true passion for sugaring. As a child, she can remember watching her grandmother prepare her own sugaring paste on the stove, disappearing into the bedroom, not knowing what it was used for!
Since then she has come to understand the many benefits sugaring has over other conventional methods practiced here in the USA. Malak is so excited to be offering a unique alternative to other hair removal methods! Sugaring, a hair removal technique that is less stressful on the skin and all natural, uses biodegradable, water, soluble, soothing ingredients.
Summer Valentine
Summer discovered her passion for sugaring in 2018 while training under Malak at Down South Sugaring. Working alongside the owner before her maternity leave in 2019, Summer developed a deep appreciation for this ancient hair removal art and its ability to transform both skin and spirit.
As a skilled practitioner, Summer creates a welcoming space where clients feel safe, valued, and understood. She takes pride in helping them achieve clean, radiant skin through natural methods that align with her commitment to non-toxic living. Each visit is an opportunity to connect, educate, and empower her clients on their personal wellness journeys.
Beyond the treatment room, Summer's passion for holistic health shines through her work as a meditation coach and student of herbalism. She thoughtfully integrates these practices into her sugaring sessions, sharing insights about natural skincare, mindful self-care, and the importance of quality ingredients. For Summer, helping clients feel their best isn't just about smooth skin – it's about nurturing their overall wellbeing from the inside out.
